Prof. Francesco De Seta
Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Trieste (Italy) where he is involved in clinical practice, teaching and research in the areas of microbiome, gynaecologic endocrinology, obstetrics and urogenital infection diseases. 
He works with an internationally recognized group involved in microbiome studies and they published this year (Jan 2022) a special number of Journal of Lower Genital Tract Diseases on Vaginal Microbiome. In 2007-2008 he was Research Assistant Professor in the Gynecologic infectious disease research program at Des Moines University (Des Moines USA) and has continued in that position until 2010 where he continued to make short term research visits to pursue genomic and microbiomic studies. 
Now he is continuing clinical studies and research on urogenital tract eubiosis and dysbiosis , with next generation sequencing methods , and with particular interest of Gut-Urogenital Axis and related factors (diet, environment, sport, drugs etc ).
Since 2018 prof De Seta is part of an organizing Committee for a “Permanent School on Human Microbiome”(Turin-Italy).  He is currently a member of several scientific societies as ISIDOG (International Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynecology), International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) and vice-president of SIMAST (Italian Society for Sexually Transmitted Infections).
Prof De Seta is author\coauthor of more than 120 published papers in PUBMED and several chapters of scientific books.
